On the annual meeting of Finepart Sweden AB, the 25th of May 2021, Tord Käck was elected as the new Chairman of the board. We took the chance of meeting him and asking him a bit about his previous experience and what he thinks about Finepart so far.
How did it feel to get the question of becoming the new chairman of Finepart Sweden AB’s board of directors?
I was honored to have the question to become the Chairman of Finepart Sweden AB. I think the technology and machines are top of the line. It will be very exciting to be part of the future journey of this company.
What is your background? / Tell us a little about yourself!
I am educated within electronics, in the 70´s, and since then I have been active, 40+years. Most companies have been related to machine tools, CNC-controls and robotics. Since 2012 in my own consultancy business. I am turning 65 this year, have three children and three grandchildren. I live close to Västerås in Sweden.
How do you see your role as new chairman?
My ambition is to support the company, by all means, but as a chairman I think the most important thing is to make sure that the board is a well working team that gives strong support to the company.
What do you see as Finepart’s strengths?
As said, I think that the technology, machines, and the performance is really world class – which is the foundation for a future success -“Beyond cutting edge”. On top of this I have already noticed a good and creative spirit in the Finepart Team, which is another important pillar for the future.
In what way do you think you can contribute to Finepart’s growth journey?
I hope that my experience in the machine tool industry, with a lot of experience and global contacts, can be of value for Finepart.
What challenges do you see as our biggest right now?
Despite a massive effort within digital marketing that the company has done now, I think that our challenge is to reach out to the customers and markets that have the specific need of our advanced technology – but we are on the right track.
How do you see the future of Finepart?
I trust that we, long term, will be able to take global position as the one of the leading companies in advanced micro abrasive waterjet cutting so I have all reasons to foresee a bright future for Finepart.
